Law Enforcement Prevention & Deterrence of Terrorist Acts

Weber Emergency Services has instructors authorized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to deliver the Law Enforcement Prevention and Deterrence of Terrorist Acts course.

This course provides certified Federal, State, and local law enforcement officers with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist in preventing and/or deterring weapons of mass destruction (WMD) terrorist incidents.

This 14 hour course provides instruction on:

• Intelligence, resources, and terrorist operations
• Importance of the law enforcement officer in combating terrorism
• Recognizing WMDs on the street
• Terrorist trends in fraudulent documents
• The vehicle stop
• The critical role of information sharing

Training is targeted at:

• Law enforcement
• Hazardous materials personnel
• Fire service
