CPR Training: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Weber Emergency Services offers both initial and renewal Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers training. As an authorized provider of CPR and ECC courses, we are committed to improving the survival rate following sudden cardiac arrest and stroke.

This level of training is targeted at healthcare providers, such as:

  • EMS personnel
  • Physician assistants
  • Physicians
  • Dentists
  • Nurses
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Others who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course

Training is conducted using the American Heart Association's video based instruction with certified and experienced instructors.

The initial training for BLS for Healthcare Providers takes approximately four (4) hours to complete, while the refresher training takes approximately three (3) hours.

Topics covered include:

  • One- and two-rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR
  • Delivery of breaths using a barrier device
  • Use of a bag-valve-mask system with and without an advanced airway
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Relief of a foreign body airway obstruction in an adult, child, and infant
  • A written exam.

Training can be scheduled at your facility at your convenience.

A two (2) year certification card is issued upon successful completion of all course requirements.
